Further more:
- Follow all of the ATV’s manufacturer’s Owners Manual regarding safety information.
- Properly maintain your ATV prior to riding according to all of the manufacturer’s specifications.
- Never operate your ATV while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Follow the assembly instructions when installing the Rain Rider top. Mae sure the top is secured and properly fitted before riding the ATV.
- The Rain Rider top is to be used only with “one” legal aged rider on the ATV.
- The Rain Rider top in its “covered” position (where the top is up and covering the rider) should never be used in the darkness.
- The Rain Rider top is to protect the rider from the elements of rain, snow or mild winding conditions. The Rain Rider top IS NOT INTENDED or DESIGNED to protect from anything else. It is not intended, or designed, to protect the rider from any accident. The Rain Rider top is not considered as any protection from a roll over accident. The Rain Rider top is not designed to protect the rider if any obstruction hits the top. The Rain Rider is not designed, or intended, to be considered in any fashion as a safety protection device.
- The Rain Rider is not fire proof or lightning proof.
- When the Rain Rider top is “up” and “in use” the maximum speed for the rider is to be 5 MPH in daylight only.
- It is the owners responsibility to maintain the exhaust emission system and make sure it is working properly. Consult your ATV’s Owner Manual to make sure no improper emissions are escaping from the muffler system. Although the Rain Rider top is not totally encapsulating and naturally has ventilation, all improper exhaust emissions need to be addressed by the owner and the owner takes full responsibility.
- Always follow the safety standards and use all protective wearing apparel that is recommended by the laws and ATV industry standards.
- Do not exceed 5 MPH in daylight only.
- Always allow extra room or the Rain Rider top when navigating in tight, or brushy terrain. It is the owner’s responsibility to make proper decisions about navigating through tight spots. At times it may be necessary to put the Rain Rider top in its “down” (or nonuse) position when navigating through a tight opening, or spot.
- The Rain Rider top is not designed to protect the rider from sticks, brush or branches that may pierce the top and cause injury to the rider. The top is not designed to protect the rider from any solid obstruction that may be encountered.
- Do not modify the Rain Rider top.
- In general: The Rain Rider top is only intended to help protect one rider from mild weather elements ONLY (Such as rain, snow, or mild windy conditions). The Rain Rider top IS NOT INTENDED to be “any type of a safety device” in case of “any accident.”
- Rain Riders Industries believes hat this product is an excellent product when used safely and as it was designed. We believe it to only be a “convenience accessory” when the ATV rider needs some mild weather elements protection. Do not consider the Rain Rider top for any other function, but to be some protection from mild weather elements.
- When the Rain Rider top is removed and used as a tent there is no other function implied, or intended, but that the Rain Rider top to offer minimum protection from the weather elements for brief periods.
- Do not ride ATV with loaded weapons.
- Make sure holding pins are in place every time you ride your ATV.
- Beware that sliding rails are made of fiberglass and are in three sections. Rain Rider, LLC will not be responsible for any injury that these slide rails could potentially cause in case of any type of accident, or malfunction.
- When Rain Rider top is in use, the rider must be responsible for driving safely. The Rain Rider top has limitations in total visibility due to the nature and intended function for its use. Rain Rider, LLC will be held harmless for any accident that possibly could occur due to the limited visibility that is inherently built into the function of this top that covers the rider.
- Top should never be used in darkness.
- The top is not a support system for any type of loads. All care and precaution should be used when top is in use.
- Do not drill holes, or alter the fiberglass slide rails in anyway. Any alterations could lead to fiberglass failing, or splintering.
- If slide rails are being carried separately on ATV (not in use), then secure them safely, just as you would for arrows for a bow. Although these fiberglass poles are “blunt”, they could cause injury if a person was to roll onto them in an accident.
- When Rain Rider top is removed from the ATV and is going to be used as a tent, then prepare with all caution how the ends of the fiberglass slide rails are secured on the ground. As extra precaution the user should protect and support the fiberglass ends with heavy rocks (albeit carefully so as not to damage the slide rails).
- In grades of 10% or more, Rain Riders, LLC does not recommend driving and ATV with the top in use.
- All standard safety precautions that ATV riders are to use, should always be adhered to. Rain Riders, LLC expects that all riders be responsible for themselves and use good common sense when operating an ATV at all times. Rain Riders, LLC recognizes and has tried to explain in common sensible terms the purpose to only protect the rider in mild weather conditions. The rider should use extra caution when using the Rain Rider top and good common sense. Rain Riders, LLC implies no other purpose or function for the Rain Rider top that be a mild weather protection device.
